Advanced Passenger Information System (APIS) in full effect in DR as of 1 June 2015

The Migration Agency has announced that as of 1 June 2015 all private and commercial flights and maritime arrivals to the Dominican Republic will have the legal obligation to notify the list of passengers and crew through the Advanced Passenger Information System (APIS). Failure to do so could mean a fine equivalent to between 10 and 50 minimum salaries.

All private and commercial aircraft on international flights arriving at or departing from the Dominican Republic need to provide passenger manifest and aircraft information prior to departure.

Under the new mandate, commercial and private operators are now required to submit passenger, crew, and flight data to Dominican immigration officials.
