A foreigner dies crushed by truck on Cabarete road
PUERTO PLATA A foreign citizen aged 77 died after being crushed by a truck on the main road of Cabarete. The deceased was identified as Charles Oliver of Swiss origin, who lived in the town of Sosua for over three years, he was crushed by a truck when he tried to cross the main road of Cabarete across from Banco Popular. This unfortunate event happened at 11:00 am (January 8, 2015) when Charles Oliver left the parking lot of the Popular Bank Cabarete on board of a motorcycle, because of the vehicle parked on the side of the street he lost control falling to the pavement just when the truck Daihatsu was crossing the road. The driver is detained.
According to data supplied by the communicator Fabio Garcia (Detrás del Rumor), the lifeless body of the unfortunate citizen remained lying on the pavement for almost half an hour waiting for the authorities. The acting coroner; Dr. Mario César López Peralta, ordered to sent the body to the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (INACIF) in Santiago, for appropriate action.
