350 on Toronto Pan Am Games team
250 athletes and 100 delegates and support staff make up the Dominican team to the Pan Am Games. The sport games will take place 10 to 26 July 2015 in Toronto, Canada.
Dominican athletes will compete in 30 sports and 144 events. The DR will participate in eight team sports, announced the head of the mission, Radhames Tavares. Dominican women and men teams will compete in basketball and softball. Dominican women will compete in hockey on grass and volleyball. The men will compete in handball and baseball. Other athletes will compete in archery, badminton, bowling, boxing, cycling, diving, fencing, equestrian, gymnastics, judo, karate, modern pentathlon, precision shooting, skating, table tennis, taekwondo, tennis, racquetball, rowing, skeet, weight-lifting, water skiing, wrestling and track and field.
Tavares says that the first part of the delegation leaves on Sunday for Toronto.
