Two foreign nationals die over the weekend
PUERTO PLATA The Northern Regional Directorate of the National Police in this city, reported deaths of an American citizen and a German woman from various causes during the weekend in the towns of Luperon and Cabarete.
The first victim was identified as Evan Scott Stachel, American citizen, 59 years old, who resided temporarily in his sailboat anchored in the waters of Grace Bay Township Luperon, whose body after being examined by the acting coroner; Jhoel Dr. Sergio Hernández Santana, certified drug poisoning suicide death.
According to the diagnosis, the American Stachel apparently used drugs with alcohol, he also left a handwritten note saying “please contact Diana, the boat is registered in her name, who is in the United States of America “while agents Processing Unit Crime Scene accompanied by a Deputy Prosecutor, the lifeless body sent to the National Institute of Forensic Science (INACIF) in Santiago.
More, a German national died while being transferred to a private clinic in Cabarete, where she was diagnosed dead after receiving an electric shock that produced a heart attack, according to diagnosis issued by the medical examiner of that jurisdiction; Dr. Mario César López.
The German was identified as Sonja Heyeres Schroder, 59 years old, who lived in the Garden Deportivo sector Cabarete, she received a strong electric shock when connecting a cable from a computer to an electrical outlet in her home.
Also available to the authorities by the foreign body of the deceased lady was sent to the National Institute of Forensic Science (INACIF) in Santiago for their respective purposes.
