Two Dominicans Boutique Hotels Among the Finest in the Caribbean
The boutique hotels “Casas del XVI” and the Sublime Samana Hotel and Residences are on the 2014 list of the 25 best boutique hotels in the Caribbean. The list was put together by the online newspaper Caribbean Journal.
According to the Caribbean Journal the “Casas del XVI” boutique hotel is situated “in the heart of Santo Domingo’s Colonial Section.”
The seven-room boutique hotel consists of two recently refurbished 16th century homes, reflecting “a wonderful interaction between history and modernity.”
The original structures on which “Casas del XVI” is founded are rich in historical and architectural value. The facility is equipped with the most modern standards required by a five-star boutique hotel.
Santo Domingo’s Colonial Section has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Two more colonial structures, on 19th of March Street, have also been refurbished and converted into modern three and four bedroom residences.
The home’s original architectural structure and historical value are preserved, and are decorated with time-period décor. Guests will receive the services of a high-end hotel, a service provided by a professional staff trained to provide quality customer service.
The online daily Caribbean Journal, an important source of information for international tourists traveling to the Caribbean, highlights the Sublime Samana Hotel and Residences and states that the facility “is truly exceptional…situated right between the mountains and the beach.”
This hotel is a member of Small Luxury Hotels and is situated in the beautiful Cosón Bay, in Las Terrenas, in the northeast section of the Dominican Republic. The 20-suite hotel also offers guests private beachfront one-two-three bedroom villas.
