Three Hotels in the Dominican Republic Among the Best in the Caribbean
The Eden Roc at Cap Cana, the Punta Cana Iberostar Grand Bavaro, and the Luxury Bahia Principe Cayo Levantado hotels are included in the list of the top 25 hotels according to Tripadvisor, one of the world’s top travel websites. Another list, of the 25 top boutique hotels in the Caribbean, is the “Casa Veintiuno” boutique hotel, a unique facility situated in Sosua, a once sleepy fishing village on the country’s north coast.
The list is compiled by the TripAdvisor website, according to reviews received from millions of travelers.
The Eden Roc at Cap Cana
This is the first Relais & Châteaux property in the Dominican Republic and the first in the country managed by the Solaya Hotel & Resorts chain of hotels. Situated in Cap Cana, Punta Cana, some 20 minutes from the Punta Cana International Airport, the hotel features 34 individual suites, each with its own pool and relaxation area with free Wi-Fi, five restaurants and bars, beach club access, and the Caletón La Palapa Restaurant. In addition, a 4,090 square-foot pool, the Dolphin House Spa, Koko Kid’s Club, a meeting room, and access to the Punta Espada Golf Course, designed by Jack Nicklaus.
Iberostar Grand Hotel Bavaro
This five-star all-inclusive, adults-only hotel is run and managed by the Spanish-based Iberostar chain of hotels, featuring 273 rooms, six restaurants, three bars, two swimming pools, spa, gymnasium, tennis court and golf course.
Luxury Bahia Principe Cayo Levantado
Situated in the beautiful Bay of Samaná, considered one of the most beautiful in the world, this all-inclusive facility is the only Dominican five-star hotel situated in a nearby key, off the country’s north coast. The 201-room hotel provides the utmost privacy precisely it is situated on a key. The hotel also features four restaurants and six bars, tennis courts, aerobics, kayaks, catamaran, spa and nightly live music.
