Thieves plunder the Soler jewelry store located in the center of Puerto Plata
PUERTO PLATA – Unknown men in the early morning hours of Saturday penetrated into the local jewelry store located in Calle Beller, from which precious garments value of RD$2,000,000 got stolen, according to the Police.
The criminals entered the second floor of the premises where the jewelry was located, then broke the wall using a hydraulic jack.
This is the second time offenders robbed the jewelry “Soler” according to data provided by the diligent journalist Hugo Gómez Guzmán, since last year to this date they committed a similar robbery taking three million in gold jewelry.
According to reports by the National Police, this time the criminals broke the glass cases where there were wedding rings, watches, chains, rings, bracelets and took everything. Several officers of the Central Criminal Investigation Directorate (DICRIM), went to the scene for investigation.
