The Public Works Ministry reopened the bridge across the Haina river
Santo Domingo.- The Public Works Ministry on Sunday reopened the bridge across the Haina river, which links the National District with the South region.
Public Works deputy minister Ramón Antonio Pepín said the repairs cost RD$60.0 million, and included expansion joints and ramps, among other structures.
In addition to the work on the bridge, which began Jan. 13, the toll station was also rebuilt.
Presidency special projects director Eyla Vargas announced the conclusion this week of work to improve five overpasses in Greater Santo Domingo.
