The flow of easy oil will continue
Santo Domingo.- Through the Petrocaribe agreement with Venezuela, Dominican Republic receives US$700.0 million financing for oil annually, affirmed Industry and Commerce minister José de Castillo on Monday.
The official spoke during a visit to Industry and Commerce by Venezuela ambassador Alberto Castelar on the topic of Petrocaribe, which provides petroleum through long-term and low interest, financing to several of the Caribbean region’s countries.
Castelar assured the Dominican Republic that it will continue to receive Petrocaribe’s facilities.
In exchange, Dominican Republic can pay the oil with food products such as black beans, liquid sugar and coffee among them.
