The “Barahona International Surf Championship” Will Be Held in July
The international tournament “Barahona International Surf Championship” will be held on July 19-20 in the southwest province of Barahona.
The event will take place in beautiful Bahoruco beach, situated 15 minutes from Barahona, the region’s largest city. The event is organized by Barahona’s Tourism and Production Cluster.
The tournament will include the following categories: Mini-Junior, Junior, Ladies Open, Ladies Masters (35 and over), Open, Masters (35-40 years) and Kahuna (45 and over).
“Bahoruco Beach is known for its strong and consistent waves, which will allow tournament participants to demonstrate their skills during a specific timeframe,” said Vanessa Ramirez the two-time champion in the National Surfing Circuit and member of the tournament’s administrative and technical staff.
