Survey says 64% of the companies raised salaries 10% in first half
Santo Domingo.- 64% of the local companies raised salaries 10% in the first half, more than during the first six months of 2013 in which 68% of the companies increased wages 9%, according to a survey
The compensation and benefits survey 2014, by the Dominican signing Macros Consulting and specialists of Mexico released Wednesday found however that the growth was much lower, or 4.48 percent.
Macros Consulting president Miguelina Veras said the poll on salaries conducted with 21 economic sectors with companies segmented by size included the retail, financial and advertising markets, free trade zones, call centres, energy, services, universities, fast food, industry, insurance, law firms, cooperatives, and NGOs, among others.
Veras announced the results of the survey at the Torre Empresarial, attended by business leaders, officials and diplomats.
