Samaritan Foundation donates houses again
The Samaritan Foundation (La Fundación El Samaritano) recently raffled again another 43 houses among poor families. The raffle took place in Sosúa Abajo, a borough of Sosúa. More than 100 families took part in the raffle. The participants left without a house are automatically enrolled in a new raffle that will take place in 2015.
The new owners of the houses are also enrolled in an agricultural project. Every family has access to a piece of land where food can be grown for personal use. The Samaritan Foundation is in Sosúa headed by Mr Arismendy Medina and is supported by churches in Canada and the USA. The Samaritan Foundation has been active in Sosúa with the construction of schools, churches and homes for poor families from 1987. The foundation has so far built over 400 homes in the neighborhoods of Sosúa.
