Puerto Plata Port to get a RD$40.0M facelift
Santo Domingo. – The Dominican Port Authority (Apordom) will spend RD$40 million to repave and refurbish Puerto Plata Port, where the work is slated to conclude by the end of December, EFE reports.
All materials to be used to pave 2,000 square meters of the port surface will be bought in the province, Apordom said in the statement.
Apordom will also evaluate the transfer of all port offices to a site that’s “more pleasing for employees so they can do their job better.”
It adds that hundreds of Apordom crews will clean up the ports of La Romana, San Pedro and Boca Chica.
