New Police Station in Sosua
We already reported on January 1, 2012 in Sosúa-News that it seemed as if they wanted to provide the road at the end of the main street Pedro Clisante at the bend of the closed nightclub High Caribbean with a new surface, and the construction of a sewage system. But after some digging the work stopped suddenly. Many rain showers made it impossible to continue the work, according to the contractor. Everything had to be completely dry before they could start paving the road. But then nothing happened for two years. The road was again full of deep potholes and slots and the traffic was dangerous.
But a few months ago the most important part received a new asphalt layer, including a crosswalk. This had to happen, because on the left side of the road a brand new police station for the tourist police (Cestur) appeared. Maybe they should start paving the side streets too (Calle Holanda, Calle Germania) to make everyone happy.
