New Convention Center at the Meliá Paradisus Palma Real in Punta Cana

The Convention Center of this Punta Cana hotel has become the country’s most important facility of its kind.  The 774-room Paradisus Palma Real Hotel, in Punta Cana, recently opened on 18,000 square feet (1,672 square meters) of multifunctional and flexible spaces.  The Convention Center features 31 meeting rooms, designed to meet the needs of guests attending special events in the Punta Cana/ Bavaro Beach regions.

Located in Punta Cana, Bavaro Beach, the resort belongs to the Meliá Hotels International complex which also includes the Melia Caribe Tropical. In total, the hotel and Convention Center, share between them 63,000 square feet of space.

Multiple Options

Designed by architect Alvaro Sans, the building features 29 foot tall ceilings and spacious social spaces where guests can celebrate cocktails, meetings and other social and entrepreneurial events.

All meeting rooms are equipped with the latest technology in communications equipment, and a well-trained staff can provide permanent services depending on the needs of the client.


Guests will have access to wi-fi services, multifunctional and multipurpose rooms; secretarial service, technical assistance on request, a business center, electronic and audiovisual equipment, food and beverage services, and event recordings.

Audiovisual Support

The resort has a partnership with the American Audio Visual Center, the Caribbean Audiovisual Center and the Blue Avenue Studios to provide guests with audiovisual technology needs. The American Audio Visual Center is known for its use of 3D technology, video mapping, as well as wireless and technology immersion.

Meeting Rooms

The Apollo GS: The perfect location for cocktails for up to 850 guests; 750 guests in a theater style setting, 600 in conference-room setting, and 550 for banquets.

Apollo I: This room offers a more intimate setting, and can accommodate 170 guests for cocktails; 20 in a theater setting, 80 classroom style and 80 for a banquet.

Apollo II and Apollo III: Rooms can accommodate up to 200 guests for a cocktail setting; 150 theater style, 110 in classroom setting and 100 guests for a banquet.

Apollo IV and Apollo V: Cocktail area for 75 guests; theater set-up for 70; classroom and banquets for 30 to 40 guests.

Apollo VI: Capacity for 1,400 guests for cocktail reception; 1,240 theater-style; 990 in classroom setting and 910 guests for banquets.

Apollo VII: 765 guests for cocktails; 675 theater style; 540 in classroom setting and 495 for banquets.

Jupiter and Hermes: Ideal for an intimate cocktail of 15 guests or less; 20 theater style and 12 in classroom setting.

Artemis and Minerva: Twelve guests in theater-type activity.

Athena and Aphrodite: Cocktails for 60 guests; 80 guests in theater-style set up; 50 and 40 for banquets.

Olympus Theatre: Cocktails for about 600 guests; 450 theater style; 500 classroom setting and 300 for banquet.
