More than 500 investors from 50 countries to participate in the forum
Santo Domingo.- More than 500 potential investors from 50 countries are expected to visit Dominican Republic September 4 and 5, to participate in the forum ‘Investing in DR.’
The gathering aims to promote the country as the Caribbean region’s unrivalled destination in attracting direct, high impact investment, affirmed Dominican Republic Export and Investment Center (CEI-RD) director Jean Alain Rodríguez.
He said the event includes conferences by sectors, presentations of investment opportunities, and more than 1000 private business meetings.
the official said the forum’s strategy is to invite 5,000 of the world’s biggest companies and guests such as Mexican Carlos Slim, the world’s second richest mogul, whose Grupo Carso controls Telmex and America Mobile, which owns the country’s Claro telecom.
Rodriguez added that president Danilo Medina will head the opening of “Investing in DR” at the JW Marriott Hotel in Santo Domingo.
