Micro-turbine technology can cut energy cost 30%
Santo Domingo.- The use of micro-turbine technology known as Capstone will allow any hotel or industrial facility to reduce energy cost by 30%, according to Energy Experts Now savings and technology director Perry Schumacher.
He said various methods to achieve energy savings in any company, industry or resort have been implemented in recent decades, since it’s a basic operating cost in any business.
He said micro-turbine cogeneration is aimed at businesses that use heat and cold, such as hotels.
“Cogeneration is the process through which the heat generated during electricity production from modular Capstone micro-turbines is utilized, averting additional fuel costs, where the heat is used to heat or cool water, and also use steam for industrial processes or laundry area,” the expert said, quoted by hoy.com.do
Schumacher added that the electricity technology company has set its sights on Las Terrenas and Punta Cana, where two private companies supply power to hotels and industries, “obtaining positive results.”
