Manager of one of the boutiques in Sosua steals over 260 thousand pesos in items
PUERTO PLATA A 25-year-old man was arrested after stealing several items in a store, where he worked as an administrator, the store is located in El Batey, Sosua. The damage amounts to total over 260,000 pesos, as reported by the National Police.
The detainee was identified as Juan de Dios Cruceta, a resident of Santo Domingo, who used his status as manager of the business “Sofoque Boutique”, located on Pedro Clisante. Items like shoes, clothing, were stolen. Mrs. Walquiria Suarez Aguilera, who owns the store is accusing him of the theft.
The police version explains that Cruceta accessed the boutique with a key that was assigned and then opened the door and stole several perfumes, pants of 18 different brands and colors 8 Michelin brand hats of different colors, 50 pairs of shoes the Carpiel brand Adidas sandals, 3 pairs of shoes Jordan 20 shirts of different colors and markings.
The sum of 60,000 pesos in cash, 6 stainless steel necklaces nickel, 4 pairs of women’s shoes, 36 polo shirt, 6 pairs of Timberland boots, 5 Splash, 5 belts and also took a watch, all these articles described above worth about 260 thousand pesos.
The thief was transferred from the fiscal office of Sosua to Puerto Plata where he will be sent to the courts to face charges for committing aggravated robbery and abuse of trust.
