Major tourism project in the South starts this year
Santo Domingo.-Tourism moguls Frank Rainieri and Haydée Kuret affirmed Sunday that the Puntacana Group will build a hotel and real estate project in Bani (south) this year, which in their view launch the southwest’s tourism development.
Rainieri and Kuret said they’ll build two 400-room hotels and a residential project in the area of Los Corbanitos beach in Bani.
Quoted by eldia.com.do, the tourism sector leaders said the project is being designed and have yet decide whether it will operate as an all inclusive or not, although they aim to attract high end lodgers from the start.
“It’s not about building a hotel, because that’s easy, but a tourist destination instead, which could be the launch of the country’s Southwest, Rainieri said,” although the country’s most famous hotelier-couple still don’t know how long construction will last, but revealed it will start before year end.
