Four arrested including a military officer for robbery in Sosua Ocean Village
PUERTO PLATA – The National Police reported the arrest of four criminals which includes a lieutenant of the Air Force of the Dominican Republic (FARD) who ransacked a residence in the Sosua Ocean Village project, where they robbed three safes containing the sum of hundred thousand dollars and other valuables.
Police spokesman in Puerto Plata; licensed Colonel José Armando Brito Melo, revealed that detainees are Second Lieutenant Oscar de Jesus Sanchez Vasquez, belonging to the Air Force of the Dominican Republic (FARD), besides those named Gabriel Feliz Santana, 39 years living in the Ensanche Luperon Santo Domingo, Luis Andrés Daniel Hernandez, 47-year-old resident of the town of Imbert and Raul Ernesto Gonzalez Rodriguez, 43, a resident of Santo Domingo Norte Pantoja.
Brito Melo said the four men were arrested in a raid conducted in the villa on Camino the Llibre, sector El Batey, Sosua, in compliance with a warrant issued by the Deputy Judge of the Permanent Care Instruction Court of Judicial district of Puerto Plata and being released on police files include multiple records of criminal actions, while the second lieutenant FARD is being investigated to see if it has ties with this band of antisocial which will be clear to the justice in the coming hours.
According to research conducted by the National Police, in the early morning hours last Friday at the Russian national’s residence Aleksei Mukhanov, Residential Project in Sosua Ocean Village, the criminal broke into a safe which contained approximately one hundred thousand American dollars and several titles.
In the raid the three civilians and one military were detained.
