San Pedro, Dominican Republic.- Cemex Dominicana on Thursday handed the keys of the first houses to their buyers in the project Altos del Higuamo, being built in San Pedro de Macoris (east) at a cost of RD$750.0 million.
The country’s biggest cement-maker stated its willingness to continue providing its technology and expertise in the country to improve Dominicans’ standard of living, through quality and affordable housing solutions.
With Altos del Higuamo Cemex becomes the country’s first promoter of social housing formulas built under the Mortgage Market and Trust Law.
“Home ownership is one of the most valuable assets a person can have, so we’re pleased to help them realize their dreams and those of their families,” said Cemex Housing manager Carlos Reynoso during the ceremony where buyers received their keys.
As an integral construction company, Cemex executes infrastructure and housing projects to build sustainable cities, while Altos del Higuamo is an innovative model of social housing.
