In addition to Panama, as the 15 happiest nations figure Costa Rica, Denmark, Austria, Brazil, Uruguay, El Salvador, Sweden, Guatemala, Canada, Trinidad & Tobago, United States, Argentina, the Netherlands and Colombia.

The top 10:

1 Panama

2 Costa Rica

3 Denmark

4 Austria

5 Brazil

10 Canada and Trinidad & Tobago tied.

Dominican Republic’s woes have likely pushed it out of the happy limelight, despite ranking first in a similar poll just four years ago.
