Dominican Republic’s biggest music bash moves millions
Santo Domingo.- The much-touted Presidente Music Festival, which starts at the Olympic Stadium today with its traditional spectacular light show, sound and staging, moves some RD$1.1 billion.
The 8th annual event also moves thousands of workers, draws international performers artists, books hundreds of flights, contracts several caterers, reserves more than 600 hotel rooms and transport companies.
Sources place the Dominican National Brewery’s spending on ads and logistics at more than RD$100 million since pre-production began.
The ads for the brewery’s leading Presidente brand reach foreign markets such as Puerto Rico, United States, Guatemala, Aruba, Curacao, St. Vincent, Martinique and other Caribbean islands.
Private security companies told eldia.com.do that 800 security guards will be deployed during the three day event.
