Cebuana wins Miss Tourism International, Dominican Republic 3rd runner-up
MANILA (Updated) – Cebuana beauty Angeli Dione Gomez bagged the 2013 Miss Tourism International crown as the Philippines welcomes the coming of the new year.
Gomez, who hails from Cebu, is the second Filipina to win the crown. She takes over the crown from Cebuana Rizzini Alexis Gomez who won the title in 2012.
The 20-year-old Cebuana was crowned in Putrajaya, Malaysia, besting Sunidporn Srisuwan of Thailand (1st Runner-up), Sarah Czarnuch of Australia (2nd Runner-up), Michelle Alexis Torres of Dominican Republic (3rd Runner up) and Thaarah Ganesan of Malaysia (4th Runner up).
Gomez is the latest addition to the Filipina beauties, including Miss Universe 2013 3rd runner up Ariela Arida, Miss World 2013 Megan Young, Miss Supranational 2013 Mutya Johanna Datul, and Miss International 2013 Bea Rose Santiago, who made the country proud for their success in international beauty pageants.
