Bayahibe Beach: One of the Best in the Country; Rincon Beach Included in the “Incredible” Beaches Category

Bayahibe Beach, situated 15 minutes east of La Romana – on the country’s eastern region – has been included on the list of the world’s top 40 beaches.

The list, prepared by the Huffington Post’s travel section, also included Rincon Beach – on the country’s north coast – on the list of the world’s 12 “most incredible beaches.”

The Huffington Post article on Bayahibe, on the country’s eastern region, states: “The Dominican Republic has some of the best beaches in the Caribbean and nowhere is this more evident than in Bayahibe, a small fishing village blessed with uncrowded beaches surrounded by stunning coral reefs and beachfront facilities where guests can enjoy fresh lobsters.”

The online daily also features the incredible beauty of Rincon Beach, on the northeast Samana Peninsula. The daily says that the beach is on its list of the world’s 12 “most incredible beaches.”

The article indicates that the three-kilometer white sand beach, surrounded by an endless line of palm trees and turquoise waters can lead the visitor to understand that if there is a true paradise on Earth, it is definitely located at Rincon Beach.

The Huffington Post is published in English, Spanish, French, Italian and German, and receives more than one million commentaries per month.

Bayahibe Beach

Bayahibe Beach has been certified as a Blue Flag beach for the tenth consecutive time by the Foundation for Environmental Education, represented in the country by the Dominican Institute of Environmental Rights. It has also been included in TripAdvisor’s “Traveller’s Choice” list as one of the Caribbean’s most beautiful beaches.

The beach is situated some 15 minutes east of La Romana, on the country’s eastern region, 90 minutes from Santo Domingo and 30 minutes west of Punta Cana. It is only minutes away from one of the country’s most important natural reserves, the “Parque Nacional del Este.”

Visitors who want to visit the beautiful nearby keys can hop on safe and modern boats that leave daily for day tours to Saona and Catalinita islands.

Rincon Beach

According to the prestigious Conde Nast Traveler magazine Rincon Beach is one of the top ten beaches in the Caribbean.

Situated on the eastern edge of the Samana Peninsula, the beach is located two and a half hours from the capital city of Santo Domingo and just minutes from Las Galeras, a former fishing village that has become an important tourism destination featuring small, quaint hotels. The Villa Serena Hotel is a small facility, but there is also the 370-room all-inclusive Grand Paradise Samana of the Amhsa Marina Hotels & Resorts.

The ride from Las Galeras to Rincon Beach is approximately 35 minutes, or through a 15-minute boat ride.

At the end of the beach are two fresh crystalline streams. Kayaking through the mangrove trees is an unforgettable experience.

Visitors can enjoy fresh seafood right on the beach, available through one of the kiosks run by the local folks.
