A proposal of construction of a railway along the border
Santo Domingo.- The National Sovereignty Defense Network on Thursday proposed the construction of a “binational progress corridor” and a railway to take advantage of the area’s farming, trade and tourism potential, in addition a border fence.
Architect Brian Soto presented the proposal to the Chamber of Deputies Border Affairs Commission, which studies the possible construction of a wall at the Dominican Republic-Haiti border.
The proposal forms part of a plan to develop infrastructure construction projects in the five border provinces, including two international airports, two ports; one in Montecristi and the other in Pedernales, four heliports, four universities, 50,000 homes, 20 technical schools and 144 clinics, among others.
The Network also proposed a border with world-class security that guarantees national sovereignty, progress, peace and the development for citizens.
