5 simple ways to detox every day

When we think of detoxing we usually think of a week of deprivation that will eventually help us feel better.

“Detoxing” has become quite a popular catch phrase, which means encouraging your body to get rid of toxins. The truth is that you don’t have to do a ‘detox’ to get rid of toxins. There are many small things you can do on a daily basis to help get rid of toxins so that you don’t become overloaded. Here are a few of my favorites that are easy to incorporate into your every day life. Choose some of your favorites and start reducing your toxic load.

Drink Green Juice

Green juices are packed with vitamins, minerals and enzymes that can help you get healthy and stay healthy. Green leafy vegetables also contain chlorophyll, which is a natural detoxifier. Another great way to get your fill if you don’t have time to juice is to drink a few drops of chlorophyll every day – you can find chlorophyll in most health food stores.

Food containers

Use glass or stainless steel food containers. Plastic containers usually contain BPA, a toxic by-product that can seep into both your food and water. Avoid these toxins from making their way into your body by keeping them out of your life.

Epsom Salts

Bathe with Epsom Salts. Epsom salts are made of magnesium sulfate, which can help draw toxins out of the body through the skin. Soaking in Epsom salts for about 40 minutes is a fantastic way to pull toxins out on a regular basis.

Sweat regularly

Sweating through exercise or by using a sauna are great ways to encourage your body to eliminate toxins. Sweating supports the body’s natural detox pathways to help keep you healthy.

Spend time outside

Studies have shown that indoor air is at about 5 times more toxic than outdoor air. Getting fresh air as often as possible helps lessen your toxic load and is one of the simplest things you can do that requires no effort. Spend as much time as you can outside and try opening the windows to enjoy a fresh breeze instead of breathing in stale air.
