Xerox, Dominican government offer 300 jobs at fair
Santo Domingo.- The multinational Xerox and Dominican Republic’s Export and Investment Center (CEI-RD) on Friday opened an employment fair for 300 jobs.
Center director Jean Alain Rodríguez said the activity forms part of the government’s plan to create 400,000 jobs.
Dozens of people gathered at CEI-RD headquarters, where Denia Madrigal and Héctor Lantigua said they came in hopes of getting a job.
Most of the offerings are for call centers, for which the applicants must show proficiency in English.
The activity runs from 9am to 6pm at the CEI-RD’s main offices, located on 27 de Febrero and Luperon avenues, in front of the Armed Force Ministry.
