“Venture Out” to the country’s 1st sustainable tourism fest
Santo Domingo.- The Dominican Tourism Competitiveness Consortium (CDCT) will host the country’s first sustainable tourism exhibit “Venture Out,” aimed at promoting domestic tourism.
Interviewed on Diario Libre AM Wednesday morning, CDCT representative Lissette Gil said the activity also seeks to help small and medium Dominican tourism businesses create a market for their products and services.
“Venture Out” is slated from March 2 to 3 in the National Botanical Garden’s central plaza, with the support of 10 tourism clusters nationwide, and the participation of small and medium companies whose non-traditional offers Gil affirms, enrich the nation’s tourism.
The program will also feature a slate of performances, workshops, children’s events, tastings, as well as lectures, technical training and help with funding for small and medium tourism entrepreneurs.
Gil said the entire Dominican family can enjoy the recreational event and have the opportunity to get to know non-traditional tourist destinations, “having gathered the entire sustainable tourism in one place.”
