Transport paces September’s 0.49% higher prices
Santo Domingo.- Dominican Republic’s Central Bank on Friday said September prices climbed 0.49% compared with August, with inflation thus far this year at 3.57%
It said inflation over the last 12 months -September 2012-September 2013 was 5.13%, lower than the 5.30% posted in August.
It said transport, education, housing, foods and non-alcoholic beverages paced the higher prices, accounting for 85.58% of September’s index.
Last month the Central Bank reported that foods led the 0.66% higher prices in August.
