Santiago isn’t a second fiddle to any city
Santo Domingo.- Tourism minister Francisco Javier García yesterday urged all sectors of Santiago to join their city’s tourism development project, citing its “extraordinary” potential.
He Santiago’s identity and unique characteristics make it a great world city, and called on organizations, productive and business sectors to join the effort he affirms various sectors have demanded.
“Santiago’s potential to develop as a tourist destination is extraordinary.” Santiago isn’t a complementary offer for anything or anyone else, it has its own identity, its own characteristics,” he said in a statement.
The official spoke at Paris’ international tourism fair, Top Resa 2013, where he held several meetings with European tour operators and airlines.
