Russian resident in Sosua, La Mulata receives bullet wounds during attempted robbery attack last night

PUERTO PLATA. – A Russian national who has spent several years living near the Hotel Las Cañas, in the residential area La Mulata I, Sosua was injured last night with three bullets by an unknown suspect who tried to mug him hooded and armed. The injured is Victor Lobanov 43-year-old, who around 8:35 pm last night (July, 2nd, 2013) was hit by two bullets in the chest and one on the wrist of an arm, after the attack he was rushed to the Cabarete Medical Center, where he is staying in critical condition.

On this case, the National Police reported that the Russian citizen Victor Lobanov received gunshot wounds in the thorax with abdominal perforation and right arm wrist inferred that an unknown person of dark complexion, hooded and armed with a 380 caliber pistol who tried to storm abroad. Also, the sub Directorate of Information and Public Relations of the National Police lieutenant colonel who heads the Melo Jose Armando Brito, officials said Criminal Investigations Associate Director of that institution, has to still find the attacker, who after a struggle with the Russian national, managed to shoot three times and took off.
