Road to High Caribbean in repair
For years the road near the now closed nightclub ‘High Caribbean’, is a source of annoyance. Part of the street there is full of holes and after every heavy rain shower it is even worse. For several times we saw bulldozers and other heavy equipment at work to repair the road. But every time the work stopped halfway. The holes and the annoyance remained behind!
Engineer Miguel Angel Díaz, head of the Municipal Public Works of the municipality of Sosúa, now has the task to resolve these problems for good. There are new sanitary sewers, new roads with sidewalks and curbs constructed. The work is in full swing and excavators digging trenches for drainage, saws sawing big trees and bulldozers pushing the last remnants of the road pavement on a heap.
It all looks hopeful.
