Residents want Sosúa Carnival back
The spokesman Valentín Viloria of a group of residents of Sosúa says the carnival in Sosúa should be saved from a final demise. The carnival in Sosúa has a long tradition of at least 35 years. Yet five years ago there was a big carnival parade in Sosúa at which many associations of the town with floats participated. Valentín Viloria hereby calls upon the city council to support the revived Carnival association and to resuscitate the formerly so rich carnival tradition. It should not go unmentioned that restaurant Parada Típica El Choco recently completed a five-day carnival celebration.
