Remake of Santo Domingo’s shoreline nearly ready
Santo Domingo.- Public Works minister Gonzalo Castillo on Tuesday said construction of the 30 de Mayo promenade, on the south side of the seaside boulevard El Malecon, is more than 95% completed.
During a tour of the works, the official said he’s satisfied with its pace and quality of the recreational space for families of Greater Santo Domingo. “More than for its pace I feel satisfied because it’s quality work, it’s a pretty work done thinking of the citizens to enjoy and improve their quality of life.”
Around 4.5 kilometers of a total of nine are already completed, between Unicaribe University and Lincoln avenue, and only minor details still to work on in the five suspended fishing platforms.
The National District City Council is in charge of the remaining 4.5 kilometers
