Public Holidays in 2013
In the Dominican Republic it is customary that holidays are transferred to another day to expand the weekend. The hard worker can then enjoy a nice long weekend. This year (2013) there are only two holidays that will be transferred for this reason. It’s Labour Day on Wednesday, May 1 when it’s normally celebrated. This year it will be transferred to Monday, April 29. The Constitution Day (Día de la Constitución) goes from Wednesday, November 6th to Monday, November 4.
See the list for the dates of the other holidays.
