Prices in June climb 1.76%, paced by transport

Santo Domingo.- The Central Bank reported first half inflation of 1.76%, calling it within its monetary program’s target range of 5% + / – 1%

It said June prices climbed 0.04% compared with May, while inflation over the last 12 months stood at 5.10%.

It said the cost of foods and non-alcoholic beverages fell -0.54%, while the 0.52% climb in transport had the strongest impact on June prices.
