Oktoberfest Parada Típica El Choco a success
This year the interest for the Oktoberfest last weekend in Parada Típica El Choco was even bigger than in previous years. On Saturday more than 300 revelers were counted! They not only came from Sosúa and Cabarete, the guests also came from Santiago, Cofresi, Puerto Plata and even from the capital city some people come over to party at the Oktoberfest.
Luckily Marco and Jacqueline anticipated on a rush this year because they had extra benches, chairs and tables ready. The mood was especially good on Saturday night. There was eating, drinking and most of the guests sung along with every Oktoberfest song. Then followed the polonaise and polkas.
Several men and women ‘misbehaved’ and were sent to jail for a little while where they, as heavy punishment, had to drink a big mug of beer. This under the eye of the (very nice looking) female jailers. The prison was housed this time in the Swiss Chalet. At the place where previously the prison was, now a beautiful decorated bar with real German draft beer was set up.
Of course, the beer (very good quality) was offered in large ‘stiefels’ and mugs. Of course there was also lots of dancing though the dance floor was not that big with so many people. Sunday night the very successful three-day Oktoberfest ended in the early hours with the departure of the last partygoers.
But more parties will follow in Parada Típica El Choco. We will keep you informed.
