New manager aims to jumpstart State owned banana planation
Santo Domingo.- With Ramon E. Fondeur’s designation as the new project manager at La Cruz de Manzanillo (Northwest) banana plantation, the government aims to create thousands of jobs in the coming months.
The project’s revival will mean significant help for all communities in the region, generating wealth and a significant number of jobs.
“The new official’s is now responsible for making the project much more productive. With this designation, president Danilo Medina seeks to thrust new impetus to the project, so that provides a significant amount of bananas and plantains in the coming years,” said Presidency Administrative minister José Ramón Peralta, who presented Fondeur to the press in the National Palace
Peralta said he and Fondeur will meet with Agrarian Institute IAD director Radhames Valenzuela, to plan the production for the rest of this year.
