Ministry of Environment to control for noise during holidays
The Ministry of Environment reports that it has distributed 15 noise-measuring kits to its provincial offices for monitoring and controlling high noise levels during the holidays. The initiative seeks to regulate noise that is damaging to the environment and health, especially in residential and rural areas nationwide. Some 15 sound measuring devices will be used to measure the tension, frequency or density of vibrations. The Ministry of Environment will work in coordination with the Ministry of Interior & Police, provincial governor offices, municipal offices and civil society organizations, according to a Ministry of Environment press release.
