Medina sends to Senate US$253.2M in loans for east region roads
Santo Domingo.- President Danilo Medina sent three contracts worth US$253.2 million to the Senate Thursday, to conclude the widening of east region roads, from San Pedro to Punta Cana
One of the contracts is for a US$80.2 million loan from the Central American Economic Integration Bank (BCIE) to partially financing the Eastern Corridor Improvement and Expansion Program.
The funds will pay the Brazilian contractor Odebrecht for the work on the San Pedro-La Romana highway, the La Romana Beltway and sections of the Eastern Tourism Boulevard.
