Medina opens US$82.0M San Pedro Beltway, La Romana next
San Pedro, Dominican Republic.- President Danilo Medina on Wednesday cut the ribbon on the San Pedro de Macoris Beltway, built at a cost of US$82.0 million, which forms part of Eastern Tourism Corridor.
Public Works minister Gonzalo Castillo said the artery’s opening gets the country even closer to receive Medina’s proposed 10 million tourists per year.
He also announced the opening of the rebuilt San Pedro- La Romana 4-lane highway and La Romana’s Beltway today Monday, although Medina will officially cut the ribbons on December 11.
