Medina eyes poultry for petroleum at Managua Summit
Santo Domingo. – President Danilo Medina flies on Saturday to Managua, Nicaragua to attend the 8th Summit of Petrocaribe Agreement Countries.
The president’s private flight is slated to take off 9am from San Isidro Airbase, 10 kilometers north of the capital. He’s expected to return to the country on the same day.
The Dominican leader’s participation comes as Santo Domingo seeks to strike a deal with Caracas, to pay the oil debt with poultry products such as chicken meat and eggs, in the heels of that sector’s huge losses from Haiti’s ban.
