Medina cuts ribbon for Puerto Plata’s US$30M Riviera Azul project
Puerto Plata, Dom. Rep.- President Danilo Medina headed ribbon cutting for the first phase of the residential project Riviera Azul, built at a cost of US$30 million in Playa Dorada, Puerto Plata.
Medina toured the facility accompanied by Playa Dorada Condos and Hotels Association president Roberto Cassoni, who said he was happy with Medina’s presence. “Definitely his visits always bring good news.”
He said Playa Dorada continues being a pilot project which still spurs pride. “They haven’t been wrong about Playa Dorada. This resort has everything you need.”
Tourism deputy minister Cesar de los Santos, said it proves that Puerto Plata is undergoing a positive stage of private initiatives.
He stressed the private and official investments in the city known as the “Atlantic’s Bride” as show in July when Medina cut the ribbon on the expansion of Puerto Plata’s airport, at a cost of RD$536.0 million.
