Medina breaks ground on 13 traffic structures in the capital worth US$260M
Santo Domingo.- President Danilo Medina broke ground Monday at the Ecological Avenue, Santo Domingo East, to build 13 traffic structures including four in Santo Domingo East, five in the capital, two in Santo Domingo West and two in Santo Domingo North
Public Works Minister Gonzalo Castillo said the 2nd phase of the Duarte Corridor, together with the Santo Domingo Beltway, is the government’s commitment to ease traffic in the capital, for citizens to save time and fuel.
He said once finished the works will greatly improve traffic in Greater Santo Domingo. ”With great satisfaction we’re here ti break ground for the works on Duarte Corridor 2 today.”
Santo Domingo East Mayor Juan de los Santos thanked the government for the works.
