Medical Center Bournigal has now a modern Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Puerto Plata

PUERTO PLATA. – The Board of directors of  Bournigal Medical Center in Puerto Plata, unveiled the opening of the most modern Intensive Care Unit (CIU) of the entire northern region, endowed with modern equipment installed in two areas designated for adult patients neo-natal and newborn children. The details were revealed at a reception held yesterday afternoon, where Dr. William Redondo held a welcoming speech: “This Medical Center is home to Puerto Plata and that the growth of this institution, is part of progress of the entire region, “while Tony Bonilla priest performed blessing of a new Intensive Care Unit that expressed by” is an area of ​​vital importance to patient care in special conditions. “ Also, Dr. Jose Natalio Redondo explained that “this Intensive Care Unit, which joins previous adaptations of area Emergency Room, Surgery and Diagnostic Imaging Center, completed the basic picture of a general hospital specializing in anywhere in the world, which is run by top-notch specialists in Dominican Republic, with more than five years of training, who accompanied the nurses and all the medical staff constantly monitor the conditions and patient vital signs”.

The modern Intensive Care Unit (CIU) of Bournigal Medical Center is under the coordination of intensivist physicians, doctors Yudelca Merette and Rafael Peña Cruz, who has the responsibility to manage patients in serious condition with safety, technology and comfort. This last feature gives peace of mind to those admitted at once that has a system of monitoring vital signs of patients with timely efficiency of physicians and nurses.
