May 1st celebration brought more visitors to Sosua than Semana Santa
“May 1st” celebration, or ‘Labour Day’ holiday, this year had been moved to Monday, April 29, so the people could enjoy a a long weekend. Sunday, April 28th was especially busy in Sosúa! With Semana Santa, normally the busiest time of the year, there was slightly less people on the beach, also due to rainy weather this year, and “ban” on music at the beach.
This Sunday was something different. Firstly, there was plenty of sunshine and secondly lots of music and drinks at the beach. The beach was very crowded, people were swimming, singing, drinking, eating and dancing. During the evening at the bars of Pedro Clisante street the parties were going until early morning.
Bar “El Flow” and “Rumba Bar” did especially well. Semana Santa has been re-cooped, but as a tribute to the ‘Labour Day’.
