Lack of medical supply and professional medical attention at hospital Ricardo Limardo, Puerto Plata
PUERTO PLATA. – Multiple misfortunes are being experienced at Ricardo Limardo public hospital of Puerto Plata, where complaints from patients who come there looking for medical care do not stop.
The complaints range from lack of medicines to the alleged lack of attention by the medical staff of the hospital.
The community leader Alexander Goms, said that Ricardo Limardo hospital must be declared in emergency state due to insecurities and shortcomings which has been happening long enough. Goms made his allegations on a phone call to interactive radio show “Talking to the People” (Conversando con la Gente), which airs on 90.5 FM, where he criticized the authorities of the Ministry of Public Health in Puerto Plata, who do not execute actions to correct the shortages at the local hospital.
“It’s completely heartbreaking human drama that is observed in the hospital Ricardo Limardo and Machepa children have no health insurance and are compelled to compulsorily attend the public school in search of health”, – community leader argued.
For a long time, dozens of patients who were admitted to the public hospital in Puerto Plata, reported after a ban on the collection of the recovery rate in the health center no syringes, no suture wounds thread, not enough medicine.
