Kidnappers of two Dominican women arrested in Lebanon

Beirut.– The Army arrested Friday in eastern Lebanon two Lebanese brothers involved in the early morning kidnapping of two nationals from the Dominican Republic.

“The Army arrested Maher Abdallah Ezzeddine and his brother Mohammad in Brital, who had kidnapped two Dominican women in the suburbs of Arsal [northeast Lebanon],” the statement said.

The Army said that the two Dominican women were with the brothers at the time of the arrest and that an investigation has been launched.

Media reported Friday the two girls were allegedly kidnapped from nightclubs in Beirut with the aim of transferring them to Syria, and pointed out that the men were involved in human trafficking.
