July prices climb 0.62%, led by foods
Santo Domingo.- Dominican Republic’s Central Bank on Tuesday said July prices climbed 0.62% compared with June, as measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI)
It said cumulative inflation for the first seven months (January to July) was 2.39%, and 5.67% for the last 12 months (July 2012 to July 2013), headed by higher prices on foods, non alcoholic beverages and transport.
“Inflation for 2013 should be within the scope of the inflation target, which is within the 5% + of – 1% range,” the Central Bank said on its website.
